Blendle gives you unparalleled access to the best journalism that’s out there. From the moment you wake up, until you’re ready to go to bed.

Follow New York Times reporters, every step of their way in revealing the truth. Read up on pop culture, fashion, and current affairs with Vanity Fair. Dive into the iconic covers of TIME Magazine, to understand the events that shape our world. Go beyond the headline, with award winning journalism from The New Yorker. Or be at the center of every trade, with The Wall Street Journal.

But you don’t have time to go over all of these newspapers and magazines yourself.

Finding great stories is what gets our human editors up in the middle of the night. They read everything. Front to back, with no room for clickbait. This leads to a daily hand-picked selection of articles, from a wide variety of sources.

Then, our algorithm works its magic. Combining the stories we feel everyone should read, with a personalized selection that’s just for you. We give you an explanation with each recommendation, to help you understand why a particular story matters.

Follow your curiosity, and flip through current and past issues of your favorite magazines. You could also search our entire archive, containing millions of articles.

In the Netherlands, Blendle is offered as a subscription, called Blendle Premium. Premium comes with so much more! Follow our signature Blendle Collections, featuring timeless pieces, all sorted by topic.

And since we know you’ve got places to go, you can listen to most of the articles too. Listen to them in the comfort of your own car, or during a nice run through the park. Always read by world-class narrators.

With Blendle, you support all of your favorite journalists too, so they can start working on their next great piece.

Enjoy our platform without any ads, and with the freedom to cancel anytime.

The first month of Blendle Premium (available in The Netherlands only) is free, and €9,99 thereafter. You will be billed automatically each month through your iTunes account at confirmation of your purchase. There is no commitment, you can cancel anytime.

Your Blendle Premium subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Your iTunes account will be charged at the same price for renewal, as stated above, within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage your subscriptions and/or turn off auto-renewal by visiting your iTunes Account settings after purchase.

In the United States and Germany, Blendle is only available on a pay-per-article basis. You can top-up your virtual wallet and only pay for what you’ve read. If you don’t like a particular story, there’s a button to ask for an immediate refund.

Pros and cons of Blendle app for iPhone and iPad

Blendle app good for

One of the best apps Ive seen lately. They have an awesome team, especially Emiel Janson, magnificent developer! Cant wait until they launch in the U.S. Props!
Been using Blendle for a little while. The mobile site is great, but this app is a great, seamless way to view articles on the site. Article prices are fair and refund policy gives me confidence to buy articles I might be unsure about. Very happy with the product and look forward to what the platform will do in the future!
Good concept and I like paying for journalism, but app needs a few tweaks. Not being able to copy text really hampers sharing with friends, and not being able to swipe from edge to return back is a regular annoyance.

Some bad moments

I love Blendle! It’s a bit like Yahoo News on steroids. Yes, you have to pay a few cents for articles, but I read so slowly in Dutch that I never spend more than a dollar or two per week. This app makes it even easier to read articles on my iPad and iPhone. It’s simple to access my archive of purchased articles, view my reading list or find new content. The features in the first version are a bit limited. As far I can tell, there’s no way to remove articles from my Leeslijst, and you can’t yet manage your account or add funds. Overall both the Blendle app and website work great. Unlike a competing service it’s easy to find articles you’ve purchased and the integration with Pocket works (though with the app, I may no longer need that)! They’ve added some English language news sources recently so some articles are now in English, though the teasers are all in Dutch. Thanks for the app!
